//fast ethernet
document.writeln('
Also called 100Base-T. A high-speed networking standard that supports data transfer rates up to 100 Mbps (megabits per second); it is based on the older Ethernet standard. Fast Ethernet has 10 times greater bandwidth than Ethernet and is intended for handling intensive traffic. All Macs and many PCs come with 10/100 Ethernet port. A 10/100 port means that it supports both 10BaseT at 10 Mbps and 100Base-T at 100 Mbps accordingly and provide a connection to the Internet via a DSL or cable modem. Fast Ethernet is a shared media LAN in which the 100 Mbps bandwidth is shared by all the nodes. It is based on the CSMA/CD LAN access method. ');
